Eduardo Vargas
Eduardo has more than 20 years of experience in operation management, with emphasis in finances and technology applied to residential and commercial buildings. He moved with his family to Gainesville in 2006 after spending 7 years in South Florida.

Eduardo is member of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors, member of the International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants, former member of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers, certified member of the Partnership for Response and Recovery for FEMA, Certified Energy Efficiency Inspector by CMC Energy Services, Fort Washington, PA., and Certified Energy Rater by the Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC).

Eduardo served as a member of the Alachua County Energy Conservation Strategies Commission. This Advisory Board, appointed by the Alachua Board of County Commissioners, was comprised of local energy experts, former local government officials, and staff from the county’s Environmental Protection Department. The Commission developed strategies to reduce the per capita energy consumption of Alachua County residents, and published its final report December 2008.

Jason Fults
Jason is a native of central Florida and has been involved in environmental research and advocacy for more than 12 years. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berea College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology/Sustainability & Environmental Studies. He has worked with environmental NGOs in Australia, China, India, and the U.S., including as National Coordinator of the Student Environmental Action Coalition (SEAC), Volunteer Coordinator of the Community Weatherization Coalition, and Chapter Administrator of the U.S. Green Building Council--Heart of Florida chapter.

From 2006-08, Jason spent 20 months in Asia on Thomas J. Watson and William Fulbright fellowships, exploring the evolution of environment and development-related conflicts in some of the world’s most rapidly-expanding economies. He is currently pursuing an electrical apprenticeship through the IBEW-NECA Joint Apprenticeship Training Program.
